Introduction

DASTA Code-list conversion to RDF/OWL tool. It is intended to solve interoperability issues with the DASTA format. The DASTA standard is used not only for a medical (clinical) data. This data and converted DASTA code-lists are used for a research purposes.

This tool has to improve a data quality for a better results and an integration with the Medical Research and Education project.

Note: The DASTA is the Czech Republic national medical data interchange standard.

Features

  • download all code-lists -- script automatically downloads all files,
  • convert all code-lists to RDF/OWL,
  • code-lists hierarchy and items as instances with a proper rdf:type defined
  • use title/label for each code-list,
  • use defined identification for all code-list items,
  • etc.

Requirements

  • Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 1.7+
  • the scripts requires:
    • bash,
    • sed,
    • wget,
    • unzip,
    • and recode.
